« Nothing is better than agriculture, nothing is more beautiful, nothing is more worthy of a free man. It amply fulfils our needs in life. » Damase Potvin
Coming from a third generation of wine growers in my family, I was born into the vine yard. As a teenager, I had to help my father occasionally with the work on his vineyard. I hated that. The tasks seemed long, tiring and uninteresting to me. I dreamt of being a cattle farmer, working with animals.
That was until my father taught me how to trim the vines. It is the first task after the harvest. Through the seasons, introduced me to all the stages of vine management, up until the final bouquet: the harvest. It was whilst observing the growth of the plant and the results of my hard work that I developed a taste for wine growing.
When I was 21 years old, my father handed me the reins for 2.33 hectares of vines of red grape varieties ( Tannat, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon).
Today it is about a real passion that I combine with sheep farming.
My family have always been members of the Irouleguy wine cellar. To date I have been part of the administration council for more than 16 years, which has enabled me to be involved in the life of the cooperative and to talk with the other members of the cellar. Alongside this, I am also on the vine committee where we make different decisions for the vine management.

The wines from the Cellar are the fruit of the work and the values from which the wine growers and the members of the cooperative personally identify themselves.
